Size coat

The size coat ensures that the abrasive grain stays in place. While the maker coat only secures the abrasive grain to the bottom part of the backing, the size coat fills most of the spaces between the abrasive grains and ensures the necessary grain adhesion. In VSM products, abrasive fillers with cooling properties are added to make the abrasive more effective.
