VSM expands the ACTIROX abrasive belt range

If the pressure mounts: New ACTIROX abrasive belt AK895Y increases efficiency

VSM is expanding the ACTIROX portfolio with a new abrasive belt that has been specially developed for grinding processes with very high contact pressures. AK895Y performs flawlessly in these heavy-duty applications, such as bevelling, removal of sprues from flame cutting on grey cast iron or mild steel.

In grit size 36+, the ACTIROX belt with geometrically shaped ceramic grain performs impressively, especially when machining unalloyed steels. This is due to its very high stock removal and very long service life. Even under extreme loads, the grinding performance remains constant and efficient.

For users, this means: Faster processes, fewer belt changes and a significant reduction in processing costs.

AK890Y: Superior performance in a wider range of grit sizes

The AK890Y abrasive belt delivers impressive performance when machining superalloys and stainless steel with low to medium contact pressure. Previously available in grit size 36+, it is now also available in grit sizes 60+ and 80+.

In practice, ACTIROX provides excellent grinding performance with consistently good surface quality. It achieves higher stock removal than would be expected based on the grit size - without a coarser surface. In grit sizes 36+, 60+ and 80+, AK890Y now offers additional efficiency in the process: This saves time and often eliminates the need for additional work steps.
